Sam Foshee Memorial Scholarship
Sam Foshee was a dedicated teacher who touched many lives in the Chula Vista City Schools. Sam taught for 20 years, primarily 4th-5th grade, but he also was an instructor in an integrated program of exchange with aphasic, deaf, autistic, and multiple-handicapped children. He spent his own money and spare time to provide children with opportunities to grow and learn. This scholarship is dedicated to Sam’s memory with the hope that it will inspire others to work with children with communicative disorders and give those children a chance to succeed.
