Dr. Joi Weeks Endowed Scholarship for Chemistry and Biochemistry Students
This endowed scholarship is in remembrance of Dr. Joi Weeks who defended her PhD in May 2020 from the Sohl Lab at San Diego State University. This scholarship will provide support to students pursuing a degree in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry in the College of Sciences. Recipients must be participating members of the Black Resource Center, which is open to all who wish to join; or currently be involved in African American community activities (on or off campus).
To apply for this scholarship, submit a General Application.
If you do not meet all of these requirements in a given term, you may lose your scholarship eligibility and your scholarship may be canceled.
Requirements:
- Recipients must be pursuing a degree in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry.
- All class levels are eligible.
- Undergraduate recipients must have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.00.
- Graduate recipients must have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.85.
- Recipients must be enrolled full-time.
- Recipients must be a participating member of the Black Resource Center, which is open to all who wish to join; or currently involved in African American community activities (on or off campus).
