McCuen Endowed Economics Scholarship
The McCuen Endowed Economics Scholarship will be used to support students within the Economics Department at San Diego State University.
To apply for this scholarship, submit a General Application.
If you do not meet all of these requirements in a given term, you may lose your scholarship eligibility and your scholarship may be canceled.
Requirements:
- Undergraduate students are not required to be enrolled full-time.
- Graduate students are not required to be enrolled full-time.
- Recipients must be Pre-Economics or Economics majors.
- Recipients who are incoming freshmen must have a minimum 3.40 cumulative high school GPA or the arithmetic equivalent.
- Incoming undergraduate transfers must have a minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA or the arithmetic equivalent.
- Continuing SDSU undergraduate students must have a minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA or the arithmetic equivalent.
- Incoming graduate students must have a minimum 3.00 undergraduate cumulative GPA; or the arithmetic equivalent.
- Recipients must have financial need, as determined by the SDSU Financial Aid Office.
- Applicants must file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the California Dream Act Application by the scholarship opportunity’s deadline for financial need to be determined.
Renewals:
- Prior recipients may submit a renewal application to be considered for a renewal scholarship award.
- Undergraduate awards may be renewed for up to three additional years.
- Graduate awards may be renewed for up to one additional year.
- To be eligible for renewal consideration, undergraduate recipients must be Pre-Economics or Economics majors and must maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA and a minimum 3.0 GPA in coursework for the Economics major.
- To be eligible for renewal consideration, graduate recipients must be Economics majors and maintain a minimum 3.3 cumulative GPA.
