Drs. Alberto Ochoa and Maria Elena Ochoa Endowed Scholarship
The Drs. Alberto Ochoa and Maria Elena Ochoa Endowed Scholarship will provide scholarship support to students in the Department of Dual Language & English Learner Education (DLE) in the College of Education.
To apply for this scholarship, submit a General Application.
If you do not meet all of these requirements in a given term, you may lose your scholarship eligibility and your scholarship may be canceled.
Requirements
- Teaching credential candidates are eligible.
- Recipients must be pursuing a teaching credential in the Department of Dual Language & English Learner Education (DLE) in the College of Education.
- Recipients must have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.75 out of 4.00, or the arithmetic equivalent.
- Recipients must have financial need, as determined by the SDSU Financial Aid Office.
- Applicants must file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the California Dream Act by the scholarship opportunity’s deadline for financial need to be determined.
- Recipients must be first generation college students.
- Recipients must have volunteer or community service experience.
- Credential students are not required to be enrolled full-time.
