The Cheryl L. and James F. Mason Scholarship
The Cheryl L. and James F. Mason Scholarship supports students pursuing a single subject teaching credential with a focus on mathematics or science within the College of Education.
If you do not meet all of these requirements in a given term, you may lose your scholarship eligibility and your scholarship may be canceled.
Requirements:
- Recipients must be pursuing a single subject teaching credential with a focus on mathematics or science.
- Recipients must have majored or minored in science, mathematics, technology or engineering while in earning their bachelor’s degree.
- Recipients must have a minimum GPA of 3.00 out of 4.00 or the arithmetic equivalent.
- Credential students are not required to be enrolled full-time

- Please submit an essay addressing what made you want to be a science or mathematics teacher. At the end of your essay, please list your undergraduate major or minor that was in science, mathematics, technology or engineering.
