June S. Cummins-Lewis Graduate Scholarship for Children's Literature
The June S. Cummins-Lewis Graduate Scholarship for Children’s Literature will provide scholarships to recruit high-achieving students pursuing the Department of English and Comparative Literature’s Master of Arts in English with a specialization in Children’s Literature.
If you do not meet all of these requirements in a given term, you may lose your scholarship eligibility and your scholarship may be canceled.
Requirements:
- Recipients must be matriculated SDSU students pursuing the Department of English and Comparative Literature’s Master of Arts in English with a specialization in Children’s Literature.
- Recipients shall be incoming master’s students.
- Incoming graduate recipients must have a minimum 3.50 GPA.
- Graduate students are not required to be enrolled full-time.
- This scholarship requires a letter of recommendation/reference. Referees must submit letters of recommendation/references by the application deadline in order for your application to be complete and considered by the committee. Referees cannot log into Aztec Scholarships until you submit your application.

- Submit a letter of recommendation from a SDSU faculty member. An email will be sent to the SDSU faculty member to submit the letter electronically.
- Upload a copy of your unofficial transcript.
- Submit an essay of approximately 500 words explaining your educational progress, and career goals.
