Rose Mary Freeman Scholarship in Nursing

The Rose Mary Freeman Scholarship in Nursing is to provide support for scholarships to students in the School of Nursing in the College of Health and Human Services.

If you do not meet all of these requirements in a given term, you may lose your scholarship eligibility and your scholarship may be canceled.

Requirements:

  • Recipients must be enrolled full-time
  • Recipients must be currently employed.
  • Recipients must have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.00 out of 4.00, or the arithmetic equivalent.
  • Recipients must be United States citizens or United States permanent residents.
  • Recipients must be upper division undergraduates who are majoring in nursing.

Supplemental Questions
  1. Submit a letter from your employer verifying part-time or full-time employment and providing a brief evaluation of your contributions as an employee. An email will be sent to your employer to submit the letter electronically.
  2. Submit an essay that addresses the following two items: How earning the degree will allow the student professional accomplishments and how they will be a contributing citizen ten years from the receipt of the scholarship.
