The Mesa Rim Scholarship in Sciences

The Mesa Rim Scholarship in Sciences will provide support to students with financial need in the College of Sciences.

If you do not meet all of these requirements in a given term, you may lose your scholarship eligibility and your scholarship may be canceled.

Requirements:

  • Recipients must be incoming freshman students pursuing an undergraduate degree in the College of Sciences at the time of the initial award.
  • Recipients must be enrolled full-time.
  • Recipients must have a minimum overall cumulative GPA (or high school GPA) of 2.75 out of 4.00 or the arithmetic equivalent.
  • Recipients must be residents of San Diego County, California.
  • Recipients must have financial need, as determined by the SDSU Financial Aid Office.
  • Applicants must file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the California Dream Act Application by the scholarship opportunity’s deadline for financial need to be determined.
  • Scholarship awards may be renewed automatically for up to three additional years if the prior recipient continues to meet the original eligibility criteria as described herein.
  • Recipients must take at least one interdisciplinary course during their freshman and sophomore academic years to be eligible for renewal.
