Alfred M. Collins-Galvez Endowed Memorial Scholarship

The Alfred M. Collins-Galvez Endowed Memorial Scholarship will provide scholarship support to all graduate students and EOP-enrolled undergraduate students in the College of Education, the School of Social Work, or the Department of Psychology who intend to pursue a career in the mental health field upon graduation.

If you do not meet all of these requirements in a given term, you may lose your scholarship eligibility and your scholarship may be canceled.

Requirements:

For undergraduate recipients:

  • Recipients must be pursuing a major in the following areas:
    o College of Education
    o The School of Social Work in the College of Health and Human Services
    o The Department of Psychology in the College of Sciences
  • Recipients must be upper-division undergraduate students.
  • Recipients must have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.00 out of 4.00, or the arithmetic equivalent.
  • Recipients must be participating in the Educational Opportunity Program (EOPOS).
  • Undergraduate students are not required to be enrolled full-time.

For graduate recipients:

  • Recipients must be pursuing a major in the following areas:
    o The College of Education
    o The School of Social Work in the College of Health and Human Services.
    o The Department of Psychology in the College of Sciences.
  • Recipients must have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.00 out of 4.00, or the arithmetic equivalent.
  • Graduate students are not required to be enrolled full-time.
