Veterans Thrift Stores Scholarship

The Veterans Thrift Stores Scholarship will provide scholarship support to students who are disabled veterans or who demonstrate financial need, as well as to the dependents of a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces and a student who demonstrates financial need; or dependents of a disabled veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces.

To apply for this scholarship, submit a General Application.

If you do not meet all of these requirements in a given term, you may lose your scholarship eligibility and your scholarship may be canceled.

Requirements:

• Recipients must meet one of the following criteria:
  1. Be a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces with financial need, as determined by the SDSU Financial Aid Office; or
  2. Be a disabled veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces; or
  3. Be a dependent of a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces and a student who demonstrates financial need, as determined by the SDSU Financial Aid Office; or
  4. Be a dependent of a disabled veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces.
• Applicants must file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the California Dream Act by the scholarship opportunity’s deadline for financial need to be determined.
• Recipients must have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.00 out of 4.00, or the arithmetic equivalent.
• Recipients are not required to be enrolled full-time.
