Woods Endowed Scholarship

The Woods Endowed Scholarship will provide scholarship support to students who are pursuing any major and are involved in the Women’s Resource Center, an SDSU Community Resource Center which is open to all who wish to join.

To apply for this scholarship, submit a General Application.

If you do not meet all of these requirements in a given term, you may lose your scholarship eligibility and your scholarship may be canceled.

Requirements:

• Recipients must be juniors, seniors or graduates.
• Recipient must be involved in the Women’s Resource Center, an SDSU Community Resource Center which is open to all who wish to join.
• Recipients must have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.50 out of 4.00.
• Undergraduate students are not required to be enrolled full-time.
• Graduate students are not required to be enrolled full-time.

In my past, many people have been very kind and supportive to me. This scholarship is my way of helping someone along the way to a better life. You have worked hard if you are to receive any funds. Keep on doing that. Below is advice that I have received, which has been helpful to me:

Make sure you take care of yourself financially. Save as much as you can as early as you can. Part of any investment is time, and you have years ahead to make that grow. It will give you confidence to have a backup, since one never knows what life will bring. At times, it will be hard. My life did not give me an opportunity to have an education beyond high school. You are ahead of the game, and I wish you luck wherever life leads you.
