Russ & Judy James Scholarship

The Russ & Judy James Scholarship is an endowed scholarship within the College of Education for special education with an emphasis on elementary school credential program students.

If you do not meet all of these requirements in a given term, you may lose your scholarship eligibility and your scholarship may be canceled.

Requirements:

  • Recipients must be a Special Education or Multiple Subject Credential program student in the College of Education.
  • Recipients must have financial need, as determined by the SDSU Financial Aid Office.
  • Applicants must file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the California Dream Act Application by the scholarship opportunity’s deadline for financial need to be determined.
  • Credential students are not required to be enrolled full-time.

Donor Profile:

Russ was a special education teacher in Santee during his teaching career. In his memory, Judy encourages a student or teacher who is pursuing a special education or multiple subject credential to apply for this scholarship. Individuals who have applied to, or are currently enrolled in, a Special Education or Multiple Subject Credential program are invited to apply for the Russ & Judy James Scholarship.
