Viola Granstaff Memorial Scholarship

The Viola Granstaff Memorial Scholarship will provide scholarship support to students in the Department of Classics and Humanities in the College of Arts and Letters.

If you do not meet all of these requirements in a given term, you may lose your scholarship eligibility and your scholarship may be canceled.

Requirements:

  • All class levels are eligible.
  • Recipients must be pursuing a major or minor in Classics.
  • The first award will be made to a student who has completed the first semester of Greek or Latin at SDSU.
  • The second award will be made to a student who has completed coursework in Greek or Latin beyond the first semester, at SDSU or elsewhere.
  • Undergraduate and graduate students are not required to be enrolled full-time.

Donor Profile:

The Viola Granstaff Memorial Scholarship was established in October of 1986 by the Friends of Classics and faculty members to provide scholarship support to students pursuing a major or minor in the Classics who have completed at least their first semester of Greek or Latin coursework.
