Merle W. Freeman Scholarship in Business

The Merle W. Freeman Scholarship in Business is to provide support for scholarships to students in the Fowler College of Business.

If you do not meet all of these requirements in a given term, you may lose your scholarship eligibility and your scholarship may be canceled.

Requirements:

  • Recipients must be upper division undergraduate students.
  • Recipients will be pursuing a program of study in the Fowler College of Business.
  • Recipients must have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.00 out of 4.00, or the arithmetic equivalent.
  • Recipients must be currently employed.
  • Recipients must be United States citizens or United States permanent residents.
  • Recipients must be enrolled full-time (12 units).

Supplemental Questions
  1. Submit a letter from your employer verifying part-time or full-time employment and providing a brief evaluation of your contributions as an employee. An email will be sent to your employer to submit the letter electronically.
  2. Submit an essay that addresses the following two items: How earning the degree will allow the student professional accomplishments and how they will be a contributing citizen ten years from the receipt of the scholarship.
