Maggi McKerrow Endowed Scholarship for Theatre
Dr. Margaret McKerrow is a Professor Emerita in the School of Theatre, Television, and Film. She taught Theatre at SDSU starting in 1971, founding the Creative Drama and Theatre for Young Audiences program and serving as Director of the program until her retirement in 2009. She was the Artistic Director of the SDSU Theatre of the World Festival which she co-founded in 1993. In her years at SDSU, McKerrow directed over fifty productions of plays for young audiences including works by prominent writers of plays for young people including Joanna Kraus, Suzan Zeder, Aurand Harris, Ric Averill, and Laurence Yep. She has been an active member of AATE and ASSITEJ, attending ASSITEJ Congresses around the world. McKerrow served as Chair of the Department of Theatre from 1984 to 1987.

If you do not meet all of these requirements in a given term, you may lose your scholarship eligibility and your scholarship may be canceled.
Requirements:
- Recipients must be students pursuing a degree in Theatre Arts or Film and New Media Production.
- Preference will be given students who are interested in theatre for children.
- Upper division undergraduates (juniors and seniors) are eligible.
- Recipients must have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.00 out of 4.00, or the arithmetic equivalent.
- Recipients must be enrolled full-time.
