Samuel M. and Kristine J. Ciccati Endowed Scholarship

The Samuel M. and Kristine J. Ciccati Endowed Scholarship will provide scholarship support to teaching credential students in the College of Education who are committed to Black Excellence in education and becoming an elementary school teacher and who are participating and/ or involved with the Center for Achieving Black Wellness and Anti-Racist Education (CABWARE), and/or the Black Resource Center (BRC), both of which are open to all who wish to participate.

If you do not meet all of these requirements in a given term, you may lose your scholarship eligibility and your scholarship may be canceled.

Requirements:

  • Recipients must be enrolled in one of the following teaching credential programs in the College of Education:
    o Multiple Subject – Bilingual Preliminary Credential
    o Multiple Subject – Preliminary Credential
    o Early Childhood Special Education Preliminary Credential
    o Extensive Support Needs Special Education Preliminary Credential
    o Mild/Moderate Disability Preliminary Credential
    o Mild/Moderate Support Needs Special Education Preliminary Credential
  • Recipients must be students participating and/ or involved with the Center for Achieving Black Wellness and Anti-Racist Education (CABWARE), and/ or the Black Resource Center ( BRC), which includes the Harold K. Brown Knowledge, Education and Empowerment Program ( KEEP) and Henrietta Goodwin Scholars Program ( HGS) . These programs are open to all who wish to participate.
  • Credential students are not required to be enrolled full-time.
