Arthur and Nora Spencer Masonic Endowed Scholarship
The Arthur and Nora Spencer Masonic Endowed Scholarship will provide support to students who have graduated from a high school in Chula Vista, CA.
If you do not meet all of these requirements in a given term, you may lose your scholarship eligibility and your scholarship may be canceled.
Requirements:
- Recipient(s) must be incoming freshmen.
- Recipient(s) must be a graduate of a high school located in Chula Vista, CA.
- No minimum overall cumulative GPA required.
- Recipient(s) must have demonstrated public/community service (through membership in school clubs doing such service, or as a volunteer at a public/nonprofit institution, etc.).
- Undergraduate students are not required to be enrolled full-time.
- Preference for financial need, as determined by the SDSU Financial Aid Office.
- Applicants must file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the California Dream Act Application by the scholarship opportunity’s deadline for financial need to be determined.
- This scholarship requires a letter of recommendation/reference. Referees must submit letters of recommendation/references by the application deadline in order for your application to be complete and considered by the committee. Referees cannot log into Aztec Scholarships until you submit your application.

- Submit a letter of recommendation from a high school teacher/counselor or community service/employment supervisor. The letter of recommendation should speak to your motivation/work, ethic/ambition, good citizenship, conduct, deportment and discipline. An email will be sent to the recommender to submit the letter electronically.
- Submit a copy of your unofficial high school transcript.
