Alice and Doug Diamond Education Opportunity Programs (EOP) Endowed Scholarship

The Alice and Doug Diamond Educational Opportunity Programs (EOP) Endowed Scholarship will provide support to EOP students who participate in for-credit international travel experiences organized by SDSU that meet a minimum of 10 days abroad and in a location more than 250 miles from San Diego State University.

If you do not meet all of these requirements in a given term, you may lose your scholarship eligibility and your scholarship may be canceled.

Requirements:

  • Recipient(s) must be admitted to and participating in an EOP program.
  • Recipient(s) must have financial need as determined by the SDSU Financial Aid Office.
  • Applicants must file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the California Dream Act Application by the scholarship opportunity’s deadline for financial need to be determined.
  • Recipient(s) must participate in a university-approved, for-credit international experience.
  • Recipient study abroad experience must be a duration of at least 10 days in a location more than 250 miles from San Diego State University.
  • Undergraduate students are not required to be enrolled full-time.
  • Applicants must submit an essay (500 words or less) detailing when they are traveling, where they are traveling, the duration of the program, the nature of the program to be followed and how the international experience will contribute tho their career and/or life preparation.
  • Applicants must upload an estimated budget for the international travel experience. The budget should include known or estimated costs for the following (when applicable): airfare, program fees, passport/visa fees, housing, insurance, incidentals.
