Mesa Rim Scholarship in Physics and Mathematics
The Mesa Rim Scholarship in Physics and Mathematics will provide scholarship support to students with financial needs who are pursuing a major in physics and/or mathematics.
If you do not meet all of these requirements in a given term, you may lose your scholarship eligibility and your scholarship may be canceled.
Requirements:
- Recipients must be incoming freshman students pursuing an undergraduate degree in Physics and/or Mathematics at the time of the initial award.
- Recipients must be enrolled full-time.
- Recipients must maintain a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.75 out of 4.00 or the arithmetic equivalent.
- Recipients must be residents of San Diego County, California.
- Recipients must have financial need, as determined by the SDSU Financial Aid Office.
- Applicants must file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the California Dream Act Application by the scholarship opportunity’s deadline for financial need to be determined.
- Scholarship awards may be renewed automatically for up to three subsequent years if the recipient continues to meet the original eligibility criteria as described herein.
- Recipients must take at least one interdisciplinary course during their freshman and sophomore academic years to be eligible for renewal.
