Darryl Groover Memorial Scholarship

The Darryl Groover Memorial Scholarship will provide scholarship support Art students with an emphasis in painting in the College of Professional Studies and Fine Arts.

If you do not meet all of these requirements in a given term, you may lose your scholarship eligibility and your scholarship may be canceled.

Requirements:

  • Recipients must be Art majors.
  • Recipients must have an emphasis in painting.
  • Undergraduate students are not required to be enrolled full-time.
  • Graduate students are not required to be enrolled full-time.

  1. Additional art materials required:
    • Please submit a link to an online visual portfolio which includes 10-20 digital images of your art. Any web portfolio hosting site is acceptable. Each artwork should be labeled with a title, date, media and dimensions.
    • Please submit a personal statement of approximately 1,000 words that includes a description of your art interests, your art background, your objectives as a student artist, and career goals.
    • Please write an artist's statement that explains and/or contextualizes your body of work.
