Melissa inspired people to achieve their goals and to experience new things. She had tremendous compassion for others. She had a great capacity for caring and had many friends who she loved dearly. She was kind and trusted people. She was always ready to help others, even strangers. Melissa would have made an even bigger difference in the world and in the lives of many other people.

Melissa also had a natural connection with children. She loved children and they loved her.
