Jim and Scotty Dietz Endowed Scholarship
This endowed scholarship will provide scholarship support to students pursuing a graduate degree or teaching credential in the College of Education who are being treated for a cancer diagnosis, or who have been affected by cancer in a significant way (i.e. family member).
To apply for this scholarship, submit a General Application.
Enrollment Requirements:
- Graduate students are not required to be enrolled full-time.
- Credential students are not required to be enrolled full-time.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Graduate level and credential students are eligible.
- Recipient(s) must be pursuing a graduate degree in the College of Education or a credential in the College of Education.
- Recipient(s) must have financial need, as determined by the SDSU Financial Aid Office.
- Applicants must file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the California Dream Act Application by the scholarship opportunity’s deadline for financial need to be determined.
- Recipient(s) must be a student being treated for cancer or a student whose life has been affected in a major way by someone in their immediate family being treated for or is a survivor of cancer.
- Recipient(s) must submit a request for assistance through the Economic Crisis Response Team.
