Norma Sullivan Memorial Endowed Scholarship

The Norma G. Sullivan Memorial Endowed Scholarship will be used for wise and reverent use by the current and succeeding generations whose academic focus is in desert areas of unique scenic, scientific, historical, spiritual, and recreational value to have a better understanding of the environment.

If you do not meet all of these requirements in a given term, you may lose your scholarship eligibility and your scholarship may be canceled.

Requirements:

  • The preferred student will be pursuing a program of study in the College of Arts and Letters or the College of Science, in academic good standing.
  • The preferred student will be involved in coursework in environmental studies, especially as related to desert ecology or projects related to threats to the desert environment.
  • Graduate cumulative GPA must be greater than or equal to 2.85 out of 4.00, or the arithmetic equivalent.
  • Undergraduate cumulative GPA must be greater than or equal to 2.00 out of 4.00, or the arithmetic equivalent.
  • Undergraduate students are not required to be enrolled full-time.
  • Graduate students are not required to be enrolled full-time.
  • Recipients must have financial need, as determined by the SDSU Financial Aid Office.
  • Applicants must file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the California Dream Act Application by the scholarship opportunity’s deadline for financial need to be determined.
