Jack R. Filanc Scholarship

The Jack R. Filanc Scholarship is an endowment whose annual income distributions will be used to support student scholarships within the Construction Engineering program in the College of Engineering.

To apply for this scholarship, submit a General Application.

If you do not meet all of these requirements in a given term, you may lose your scholarship eligibility and your scholarship may be canceled.

Requirements:

  • Recipients must be pursuing a program of study in Construction Engineering and be an undergraduate level student.
  • Recipients who are incoming freshman must be from a San Diego County high school.
  • Recipients must be enrolled as a full-time student with a minimum of 12 units each semester.
  • Recipients must have a minimum GPA of 3.20 out of 4.00 or the arithmetic equivalent.
  • For renewable scholarships the recipient is required to continue in the major specified, maintain a minimum overall GPA of 3.2 and serve an internship or hold a summer position within the construction management industry.
