President's Diversity Scholarship
The President’s Diversity Scholarship will provide scholarship support to first-time freshman from SDSU’s service area. There will be up to 10 scholarships will be awarded to local low-income, high-achieving students, who graduate from a high school in SDSU’s service area (SDSU’s service area includes institutions in the portion of San Diego County located south of State Route 56 and extending eastward, including Imperial Valley County) and are admitted and enrolled as first time freshmen for the following fall semester.
To apply for this scholarship, submit a General Application.
If you do not meet all of these requirements in a given term, you may lose your scholarship eligibility and your scholarship may be canceled.
Requirements:
- All majors are eligible.
- Recipient(s) must be first-time freshman.
- Recipients must have graduated from SDSU’s service area.
- Recipients must have a minimum overall high school GPA of 3.00 out of 4.00, or the arithmetic equivalent.
- Recipient(s) must reapply and continue to meet the eligibility criteria to be considered for renewal.
- Recipients must be enrolled full-time.
- Preference given to applicants with financial need, as determined by the SDSU Financial Aid Office.
- Applicants must file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the California Dream Act Application by the scholarship opportunity’s deadline for financial need to be determined.
- Scholarship may be renewed for up to three years, but the award is not automatically renewed.
