Bill Trumpfheller Memorial Internship Scholarship

The Bill Trumpfheller Memorial Internship Scholarship will provide scholarship support for Public Relations students in the School of Journalism and Media Studies in the College of Professional Studies and Fine Arts who participate in an approved internship.

If you do not meet all of these requirements in a given term, you may lose your scholarship eligibility and your scholarship may be canceled.

Requirements:

  • Recipients must be pursuing a major in Public Relations.
  • Recipients must have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.00 out of 4.00, or the arithmetic equivalent.
  • Recipients must be upper-division undergraduate students.
  • Each student may only receive this scholarship once.
  • Recipients must be enrolled in an internship course (JMS 490 during the fall or spring semester) or special study course with an internship component (JMS 499 during the fall or spring semester) during the term for which the scholarship is awarded.
  • Recipients must provide written confirmation of an internship before the scholarship funds will be disbursed.
  • The scholarship may be awarded for the fall or spring.
  • Undergraduate students are not required to be enrolled full-time.

By checking "Yes, I confirm and understand," you are confirming your understanding that you must provide written confirmation of your internship to the SDSU Scholarship Office at scholars@sdsu.edu prior to disbursement of scholarship funds. In addition, you must also be enrolled in an internship course (JMS 490) or special study course with an internship component (JMS 499) in the fall or spring semester of the current award year. Please note that summer internships are not eligible.
