Mack Owen Scholarship

The Mack Owen Scholarship was established in 1996 by Mack Owen when he retired from San Diego State University. Owen taught at SDSU from 1969 until 1996, serving as the head of the Performance Committee for many years. The endowment of his scholarship began in the spring of 1996 with a benefit performance of Becket’s Waiting for Godot, starring faculty members Mack Owen and Peter Larlham. Owen was much loved as a director, acting teacher and acting coach. Owen died suddenly in the fall of 1996.
