Nancy and Gary Beardsley Endowed Scholarship

The Nancy and Gary Beardsley Endowed Scholarship will provide scholarship support for Guardian Scholars pursuing a business major in the Fowler College of Business.

If you do not meet all of these requirements in a given term, you may lose your scholarship eligibility and your scholarship may be canceled.

Requirements:

  • Recipients must be undergraduates.
  • Recipients must be enrolled full-time.
  • Recipients must be designated SDSU Guardian Scholars.
  • Recipients must be pursuing a major in the Fowler College of Business.
  • Recipients must be currently volunteering, must have volunteered within the previous year or must currently work at least 10 hours per week.

  1. Recipients must be currently volunteering, must have volunteered within the previous year or must currently work at least 10 hours per week. Please respond to the following prompts for each volunteer organization/employer reported:
    • Name of the volunteer organization or employer
    • Volunteer or paid employee
    • Dates of volunteer service or employment
    • Number of hours worked per week (must be a minimum of 10 hours/week for paid employment)
  2. Applicants must respond to the following questions (max. 175 words per prompt):
    • How do you define and measure success?
    • What do you plan to accomplish in your five years post-graduation, and how do you plan to give back to your community?
    • Please tell us about one person who has influenced your life in a positive way.
